2007 Nov 23 Crazy Black Friday

"Our help is in the name of the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth." - Psalm 124:8
Our First Crazy Black Friday Sale

November 22 was Thanksgiving Day. This would usually be the last Thursday of November. Right after midnight, on that Friday, would be America's crazy Black Friday Sale. It was called Black Friday as retailers would usually make positive earnings from their sales and their account would turn from "red" to "black".

After midnight, we crossed the USA-Canada border at the Rainbow Bridge to the outlet malls at 1900 Military Road. We were expecting conjested traffic as most Canadians would also cross the border to shop at the malls. Surprisingly, the traffic was clear! Perhaps the economy was not that good after all. Dad slept with the kids at the hotel while we did the shopping.

Despite the slow economic growth, there were already a long queue at various stores, especially at Coach outlet. Michele queued for almost an hour before she was able to enter the shop.

We shopped till 7am in the morning before going back to the Embassy Suites to have our breakfast and to start another day of sightseeing in Niagara Falls.

Praise the Lord for the safety at Buffalo and the good weather.
