2007 Oct 25 Georgia, Georgia

"I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever." - Psalm 86:12
Georgia, Georgia

Fall finally came down south! The kids and I had a long-weekend break from school, and so we'd decided to drive up to Atlanta, Georgia. From Capital Circle to Thomasville Road, the drive northward along US-319 to Thomasville, Camilla, Albany, and Cordele was slow and steady, before merging into I-75 towards Atlanta. Traffic just went crazy as we approached Atlanta - the lanes were wider, there were more lanes, and people were driving at top speed even though the speed limit was 55mph! So different from Tallahassee : )

On the first day (25 October 2007), we visited Georgia Aquarium - the largest aquarium in USA!

There were many species of sharks (including the enormous Whale Shark), rays (and do you know that a Ray Shark is a ray and not a shark? ... or is it the other way round?), and many other fish.

Ethan was fascinated by the jellyfish. See how captivated he was by them!

And of course they have their own coral fish character ... it is called Deepo!

We visited the Coca Cola Museum the next day (26 October 2007). Greeted by the Coke Bear at the entrance and the creative 4-D introductory show, we saw many Coca Cola artifacts and tasted the various drinks produced by Coca Cola. Cool!
Overall, Atlanta is more cosmopolitan and has more to offer than Tallahassee. At least, there is a "Chinatown" (where we had dim sum) and Hard Rock Cafe!
