2007 Oct 13 White Mountains Trail

"Exalt the LORD our God and worship at His footstool; He is holy." - Psalm 99:5
Mount Washington, Waterfalls & Covered Bridges

We entered New Hampshire on I-93 from St Johnsbury, Vermont through Littleton, and begain the White Mountain Trail - New England's most scenic 100 miles. We took the scenic drive along US-302 from Bethlehem. The drive was full of spectacular sights of the fall foliage of the White Mountains (on both sides of US-302). The view of Mount Washington Hotel against the backdrop of majestic Mount Washington - the highest point in New Hampshire - was awesome.

And the scenic route meandered through Attitash, Barlett, and Glen before we finally arrived at North Conway, seeing some the Silver Cascades waterfalls of Crawford Notch, and some romantic covered bridges along the way.

We also took the Conway Scenic Railroad to marvel at the beauty of the White Mountains, and drove the Kancamagus Highway (Route 112), making frequent stops along streams and covered bridges.

We took the final scenic drive at the White Mountains from North Conway to Mount Washington along Route 16. The drive up to the peak was closed due to snow and ice ... we were just 8 miles from the peak of Mount Washington! Nevertheless, the view was breathtaking! We made our way back to Manchester, New Hampshire before returning to Tallahassee with fond memories of some of the most beautiful scenaries we've ever seen!

Praise the Lord for his wonderful creation!
