2007 Oct 31 We Love Tallahassee

"Arise, LORD! Lift up your hand, O God. Do not forget the helpless." - Psalm 10:12
Christopher Columbus Day
October 8 was Columbus Day.
Double Rainbow
October started with a "double rainbow phenomenon" ... we witnessed this unique sighting just outside Toys 'R Us along Apalachee Parkway. This was our first rainbow sighting in USA ... and a double rainbow!
We had a dining out with the Gibbons at The Old Mexico Grill & Cantina (at 3212 Apalachee Parkway, just beyond Capital Circle) on 4 October. Serving exquisite Mexican food and one-for-one jug of beer, this was one of the best mexican restaurant I've visited. It was a great evening together.
Tallahassee Fire Department Open House
On 6 October, Tallahassee Fire Department had an Open House and all Betton Hills Preparatory School's students and their families were invited. We had the opportunity to see the fire engines and how the fire-fighters work to save people under various distress.
See, even Sonya learned how to drive the fire engine!!!
Sonya and Ethan really had fun today!
After the visit to the Tallahassee Fire Department, we had lunch at the American joint - Applebee.
We also gave Sonya her Princess Dress-Up Chest for her birthday in advance so that she could use it for Halloween.
Hallelujah Harvest @ Calvary Chapel

On 31 October, Calvary Chapel celebrated Halloween in its own unique style - The Hallelujah Harvest! Kids were dressed up in different costumes, just like Halloween. Ethan was Superman and Sonya was Princess!

They had fun with different activities such as Pony Riding and Milking!!!

Singapore Delights

Of course, we were pampered by Michele's cooking. We had Bah Kut Teh and Wan Tan Mee this month. Guess we did not miss home that much! Praise the Lord!
