2000 Aug 5 Elephant Butte Lake

Weekend visit to New Mexico Farmers Market at Las Cruces, New Mexico🇺🇸
Enroute to Elephant Butte Lake, NM🇺🇸 with my Austrian and French coursemates.
Elephant Butte Dam was constructed in 1911-1916. It was the largest structure in the United States to impound water in the largest man-made reservoir at that time.
306 feet high and 1,674 feet long retaining a reservoir that covers approximately 36,000 acres.
Wooohoooo....
Overnight stay at Truth or Consequences, New Mexico🇺🇸
