2000 Aug 6 Gila Cliff Dwellings

Visit to Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument, New Mexico🇺🇸 Groups of nomadic people sought temporary shelter here in the caves of Gila River for thousands of years until people of the Mogollon Culture decided that this would be a good place to call home. They built rooms, crafted pottery and raised their children in the cliff dwellings for about twenty years, before moving on elsewhere, leaving the walls for us as a glimpse into the past.
