2008 Jan 3-4 Miami Sunshine

"Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in Him may have eternal life." - John 3:14-15
Sun, Sand, & Sea @ South Beach
We arrived Miami South Beach on Jan 3 evening and stayed at Bahamas Breeze in the charming Art District - it has lovely boutique hotels, and pubs serving thirst-quenching mojitos and margaritas.
The architecture here is very exquisite and elegant - a mix between Spanish, English, Southern and Contemperary.
The beach is conveniently located across the road.
South Beach is a very long stretch of white sandy beach. The sun was blazing when we were there that morning, but the winter water was too cold to swim in (plus the cold front just swept past)!
Look at this beautiful lifeguard watch tower!

It is just wonderful to walk down the road and admire the different architecture here ...

... take a sip of sweet lemonade, ...
... and enjoy a nice cup of coffee and yummy breakfast!

As we departed the port onboard the Carnival Fascination, the gloaming sun also gives Miami's seafront skyline a golden glow. What a beautiful sight!
