2000 Aug 26-27 Cloudcroft

Weekend road trip to Cloudcroft, New Mexico🇺🇸 More than 9,000 feet elevation above sea level, this quaint little village is very cool!
Bear Paws as traffic directional signs on the road instead of the usual Arrow ... oh ya, black bears populate this area and roam the streets too!
So cute, this little black bear (wooden carving) ... and the hummingbird too (this is real!)
Located 9,200 feet above sea level at Sacramento Peak in the Sacramento Mountains, The National Solar Observatory overlooks White Sands Missile Range in the Tularosa Basin, New Mexico🇺🇸
Richard B Dunn Telescope (1969)
Evans Solar Facility (1952) has 2 telescopes
--- solar flare and sunspot ... from a postcard!
Checked into our Spruce Cabin at The Lodge Resort & Spa at Cloudcroft, New Mexico🇺🇸
Look, our Spruce Cabin and our Jeep Cherokee. I was glad we have the Cherokee for this terrain. Our cabin even have a fireplace ... how cool is that!
Don't know how to start the fire!
Nice woods ... smells great and refreshing!
Sunday brunch at The Lodge before heading back to El Paso, Texas🇺🇸 It was a great and fun weekend! I would love to be back again.
