Today, we celebrated New Year at the Animal Kingdom and Disney MGM Studio. We were greeted by Rafiki and other characters upon arrival at the Animal Kingdom.
We started the day with a relaxing Harambi Safari ride in Africa, seeing lions, giraffes, elephants, rhinos, etc. We then took the hair-raising Dinosaurs ride in Dinosaurs Land, USA, where we traveled back to the Jurasic era to bring back a life dinosaur before the meteors hit the Earth (this was supposed to have caused the extinction of dinosaurs according to some theories).
The Himalayas in Asia is the latest attraction here at the Animal Kingdom's Asia. It features some 1-2 minutes roller-coaster ride in the backward direction, one of the steepest drop in Disney World, and an up-close-and-personal experience with the Abominable Snowman! But no one took the challenge.
After the famous Lion King Show, we proceeded to Disney MGM Studio.
A Fantasmic New Year @ Disney MGM Studios
This might be one of the last few times we would see the Disney MGM Studios sign here because the park will be renamed to Disney's Hollywood Studios this coming spring.
We went on the Backlot Tour to see what was behind movie production, Indiana Jones Show to see how special effects were created for the movie, and met Herbie and other cars at the Car Stunt Show. Truly amazing! No one took the elevator at Hollywood Tower Hotel.
Happy New Year!

In the late afternoon, we rushed over to Epcot Center. Epcot Center also brought back wonderful memories of our visit in 2000. We watched the 4-D "Honey I Blew The Kids" show, and took the Finding Nemo, and Figment's Imagination rides, etc. The IllumiNation and Reflection of the World fireworks display was the same, except that there no longer was the Tapestry of the World Parade. Nonetheless, it was still a very magical experience!
